What are Bird Walks and Non-Breeding Surveys?

Bird Walks and Non-Breeding Surveys are both guided, casual surveys of the birds you see and hear. Bird Walks are offered year round at both Liberty Park and the Nature Center at Pia Okwai. Non-Breeding Surveys visit various monitoring sites across the Salt Lake Valley and are available on Thursday and Saturday mornings throughout the fall and winter.

These walks are open to the public and are a great way to get started in the world of birding! No experience is required, but you’ll need to sign up through the link below!

BIRD WALK SIGN UP

When you sign up for a walk, we will send you an email the day before with details on meeting location, directions, and what to bring. Please sign up at least 24 hours in advance.

**Bird Walks and Non-Breeding Surveys are intended for adults and adolescents 14 years old and up. If you’d like to get younger children involved, please reach out to conservation@tracyaviary.org
