  • 6-8 PM SABORES DE MI PATRIA: LA COMIDA ES CULTURA

Join us for La Comida es Cultura/Food is Culture, this year's second presentation of our Sabores de Mi Patria/Flavors of My Homeland workshop series. Presented in partnership with Artes de México en Utah, this workshop will be held at the Wasatch Community Gardens' Campus and presented entirely in Spanish, with English translation as needed.

This workshop will be an interactive presentation of sustainable ancestral farming practices applicable in the modern world. Through art and food, we will talk about the milpa as a symbol of identity and share cultural memories in a group.

The Wasatch Community Gardens' Campus is located at 629 E 800 S, SLC. Registration is free. We will begin inside and there will be opportunities to interact with the garden. Water will be provided. Expected program length is 2 hours.

*We recognize that our community includes people who are at various levels of COVID risk. Masks are optional during this workshop. Note that, should COVID conditions change, this event may be cancelled. We will notify registrants as soon as possible if this is the case.
